DS's Marine Corp Unit Has Been Activated...

Twinmom....my cousin was just sent out today from Camp Pendleton I believe. He was told last week to pack up his things, get his affairs in order, that they'd leave Monday. They are going straight to the Persian Gulf, according to my aunt. She is having a rough time of it. This is his 3rd year as a Marine. I can imagine Joshua saying much the same thing as your son.

Our thoughts and prayers are always with them....

I just want to say, from one mom to another, that I greatly admire your courage and strength and thank-you so much for your sacrifice to this country, too. I will definitely say a prayer for your son. In fact I am praying for all our military.

My BIL is a Lt. Colonel in the Marines. He has been in Okinawa for three years and will be returning to Camp Pendelton. He has already prepared his wife, daughter and mother that he will most likely be sent to the Persian Gulf when he gets back to Pendelton. I will find out what unit he is with because it seems like there are several DISers with Marines at Pendelton.
