So I decided to paint my son's room like this: http://disney.go.com/disneyhome/disney_color/rooms/tiggerpooh/tiggerpooh.html

If you ever look at Disney paint colors, it is the winnie the pooh themed one that is a sky and rolling hills with some trees and a couple of character shadows painted on.

I need either stickers or a way to stick characters on that is temporary, so that we can change the characters or move them if we change the furniture.

What should I do? I can only find the winnie the pooh character stick-ons in full color and they are all part of some big mural.

My daughter also wants tinkerbell all over her room (already painted blue) and we can't find any. Do you know where I can get some, or how I can make something like this? :confused3

You seem like the right bunch to ask. I really don't want to paint the characters on.

Have you tried Walmart, Target? Some times there are removable wall stickers available. I know many years ago I purchased the whole Little Mermaid series. The stickers peeled off easily when we had to paint the room.

You can get the removable wall stickers at AC Moore and I think Michaels. They may have them at Joanns also. (Use a 40% off coupon :thumbsup2).

I know they have Tink and I believe they also have Pooh, but they would be in color.

We did a similar thing in my dd's room with the green paint at the bottom and blue at the top. My intention was to paint the pooh characters on the walls. However, her room is small and by the time we got all the furniture in there, there was not much wall space to paint on. So we just added classic pooh accessories. I have 3 wonderful, very old, classic pooh prints that someone gave me and we framed and hung those also. We are changing over to princess now, but the room does not need painting, so we will work with the "sky and grass" that we have.

One more thought about the silhouettes....do you have a crafty friend with a die cutter, like a cricut machine. They could cut the characters out of solid color vinyl that is made to go on the walls.

This site used to carry a set of Disney Fairies stickers. I ordered them from there for my DD's room. She loves them. I'll check the brand later and let you know (kids are still asleep in the room where the stickers are :goodvibes). A few of the stickers didn't stick to the wall well. I applied some extra repositionable glue to the back of them and they stick better now.

Pooh (but these probably aren't the right color)

Is this a special type of vinyl? Where would I get it?

buckler- some of those tinkerbell stickers are perfect!

Thanks everyone!

They sell the vinyl to use in the cricut or die cutters. You can usually get it at AC Moore, Michaels, Joanns. You can probably also find it at online scrapbook stores, as well as on ebay.

These appear to be the same stickers that I referenced in my post above and you can find them at AC Moore, etc. If you have any of these stores nearby, you can see them in person and hopefully use a 40% coupon.

Thanks everyone!

:goodvibes

The fairies wall stickers we have are made by Sandylion.

There is also special 2 sided tape that you can use to put things on walls and remove them without leaving a mark. I've used it for posters. You could print some pictures, cut them out and tape them to the wall.
