DSi on clearance at Target

Groan! Where was that deal when I was looking for one for my daughter for Christmas? I ordered a black one for her - console only - for $169.00. I didn't want the white - she had a white DS, and I ended up buying her Nintendog stickers for it because it looked so grubby! However, for the sake of a $50 saving I would have bought the white and gone the sticker/ silicone skin route to prevent or hide the grubbies!

She would have loved the Brain Age games, especially Sudoku! Goodness, even if she never played the pre-loaded games, I would still have saved $50!

Target did have three colors available with preloaded games for $169 on BF, but unless you wanted the specific games, you probably evened out by avoiding the madness. I, however, love the madness and ended up buying a pretty blue one even though I hadn't planned on it.

I went after work to the only target that had inventory but it is not on clearance. It would have been real nice though.

DH checked tonight at a store near his hotel in TN. No luck, they only had the regular version. I think he was more disappointed than I was.

I used that link and that's how I knew the one target had inventory but they were not on clearance. It was still the $169 regular price. I will keep my fingers crossed that they will go on clearance because the employee did say they has quite a few in stock.

The Target stock number for the white Brain Age bundle is 207-01-0074 and the stock number for the blue Mario bundle is 207-01-0075. The Target inventory checker thing isn't always accurate, but you can give it a shot.

The Target in Normal, IL clearanced both out. The white one was on clearance for $84.98 (50% off) and the blue one was on clearance for $118.98 (30% off). They don't have any left of either one.

I got a white one. I would have preferred the blue, but they were sold out (and $34 more expensive). I bought the Game Traveler case with Mario on the front of it for $10.39. It will hold the DSi (or DSlite), games, and a stylus and you don't have to take the case off to play, so I am less likely to lose pieces. The clear part that holds the bottom of the DSi into the case should also help prevent the grubbies. I didn't want a white one, but for half price, I'll live with it. I just need to get some screen protectors and I'll be all set.... I think I'll be saving my crimson DSlite for my daughter when she gets older.

Anyone having any luck using the search function for these? When I put in the numbers I get an unable to locate number. Does that mean they are not any near me or none in general?

I'm pretty sure those are DPCI #s ~ I'm asking for the ASIN #

The ASIN for the Mario bundle is B002S5NKIY (off their website). I don't know the ASIN for the Brain Age bundle. It isn't listed on my receipt or the shelf tag. Perhaps if you call Target and give them the DPCI (207-01-0074) they can give you the ASIN and you can post it here.

not completely reliable - maybe they don't update this site that often. CAlled the Target near me that still said "limited availability" and the guy there said he hasn't had any there for a while. So, if you don't want to waste a trip, make sure you call before you go even if this site says it's available there. Good luck and congrats to the OP on a great price!!
