We will be going to WDW in Dec using the DDP. DS will be 14 months old when we travel. So far we know he is allergic/sensitive to soy, milk, avacado, and oatmeal. I am suspicious of barley, and carrot. So far wheat seems to be ok. My other son had a milk/soy allegy too, but outgrew it by this age. So, I had been hoping the same would be true. But, unfortunately, this baby has had some real struggles with food. We're still in a phase of slowly introducing new foods. He loves pasta (plain), chicken, beef, bacon, potatoes, apples, peaches, bananas. I make all of his food, we don't use any packaged baby food. He still takes 24-32 ounces of his Rx formula, so I'm not concerned about his nutrician as much as I am the social aspect of mealtime and him being able to eat with us at the table.
I know how wonderful the chefs can be. My other DS has a peanut/treenut allergy and the chefs were wonderful during our last two trips.
My question is regarding the baby. What can I expect as far as help feeding him if we are on the dining plan? I know he can eat off of my plate, but given his sensitivies, I need his food to be very simple, one or only two ingredients at most. We are more than willing to pay out of pocket, but how far is reasonable to expect the chef to go to help us. Would they grill him a hamburger patty, or cook just a piece of chicken plain, or boil a small amount of pasta or a small potato? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jen
