DS warning!!! don't order online

CALL THEM!! I went online to the DS to order the personalized kids sweatshirts that are on sale for $12.99 in the catalog and they kept showing the full price of $22.50 and everything pretty much sold out. I took a chance and called the DS directly (800) 237-5751 asked for the same item #'s that are online and they were in STOCK and $12.99!! I wound up ordering 3 shirts in the characters that I wanted. I asked the CM if this was a catalog sale only and she said no and couldn't understand why I was getting sold outs and a much higher price. Clitch in the system? who knows? It's a 20 day delivery time and they will be here before Christmas so I am thrilled!!!

I, too, ended up calling to get some personalized items (tried to order online and kept getting errors). I got a great deal on the personalized fleece blankets, but when they arrived in the mail, I noticed that the embroidering had little bits of plastic still stuck in between the lettering. I ordered 5 blankets and they all had it. It was easy to take a knife and pull the plastic off, but I thought it would be a real bummer if I had sent these directly to the person I bought them for. I think they are having a run on personalized items and it kinda shows in the quality.

I ordered the Mickey and Minnie fleece blankets for all the couples in our family and had them embroidered with the man's name under Mickey & the woman's name under Minnie. So even though I had to clean up the embroidering job, I still ended up with some really cute Christmas gifts!

Thanks for the head's up on the embroidery. I almost drop shipped them to my niece and nephew.

I ordered personalized sweatshirts last year and thought the "r" was an "n" called they sent another shirt just like it.....I asked 3 adults and a 6 year old and everyone thought the r was an n, that's just how they looked! Not pleased at all. The towel was okay...no r's in that name!
