DS Suggestions for Niece

Looking for a DS game or two for my niece. What does your 8/9 yo enjoy playing ? TIA

The mario games are favorites in our family for boys and girls - ages 4 to adult. There is New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, and Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story. I have heard good things about Starfy too, but I'm not sure the age range for that one. DS6 will be getting it for Christmas.

There's a jewlery game that my kids have been talking about, something you design on your DS and then you can order the jewlery, unfortunately I have no more information than that.

Jonas, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Club Penguin, and any fashion/wedding/style/etc. type games!

Some great suggestions already ! I know that their family has one or two of the Mario games. Can't go wrong with everyone's favorite plumber, right ?

I've read some good things about Diner Dash and Cooking Mama. Not sure if its the right age group, though. As a pp mentioned, I've also seen some good things about Club Penguin, so that's a possibility. Keep those ideas coming !

My DD loves her Phineas & Ferb game.

DD9 is getting Cooking Mama & LPS games. She has played Cooking on the wii & really enjoys it. She loves animals and they also have some cute animal themed ones but I forget what they're called -they create a habitat for dolphins, etc. I've seen them at Kohl's.
