Three squad cars pulled DS over last night as he was leaving his friends neighborhood. The made him get out of the car and searched it . There had been a burglary in the neighborhood and it was around 12:00 and his car looked suspicious (you know the old one we make him drive - I've been followed before driving this car)

They gave him a breathalizer test and had him follow a pen. He was definitely not drinking. The police then loosened up and said what was going on but he did not have his license or ins. with him. They didn't even give him a ticket or warning.

I must say the boy was more than a little scared and I think he learned his lesson not to leave home without his wallet.

Yeah - what is it with leaving the house w/o the wallet? My DSs have done it, and a friend said hers did too. They usually learn this one just the way your son did. (Sorry he was "picked on" - glad it was no worse!)

I think (hope) he learned a good lesson. He actually said they were very nice to him after his info checked out. They told him they could have taken him in though and he better carry the wallet.
