DS (6) had been coughing and had a little runny nose. Last night he said his ear didn't feel right. I sent him downstairs to DH since he was up watching election coverage.
This morning DH said DS cried a lot last night and it got worse and worse. He felt OK this morning for a while but DH thought he was feverish and kept him home. He took him to the doctor and turns out he has an infection and his eardrum perforated! And he just started complaining last night!
He had tubes when he was 14 months old and they stayed in over 2 years, and since the this is his first ear infection. He slept from about noon until an hour ago, except for a few minutes here and there. We are working on his schoolwork now and hoping he can go tomorrow, but odds are he needs another day home.
