he starts properly in september but he has been in for the last 4 tuesday afternoons to familiarise himself and we found out today who his teacher is going to be.
he is very excited about going to school because he can take his football in to play with at lunchtime :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: typical boy

If he's anything like my two then he'll come home regularly with holes in the knees of the trousers, because of 'sliding tackles'... !!!!

I'm sure he'll have a great time!!!

Oh bless...when they go to school it's like the start of a new chapter :)

Going to 'big' school is so much more emotional for us mums than for the kids and the first time you see them in their school uniform is when it really hits you that they're not 'babies' anymore.

My eldest daughter is doing the same thing at the moment, her second visit was on Monday.
She really likes it (thankfully), and her teacher seems very nice.

Aww! bless their little souls, really scarey for them glad they're enjoying it so far, lets hope it stays that way!

I'm sure all us mums can remember when our kids went up to big school - and it really does feel like yesterday - I'm glad it went well for him :)

Victoria my youngest is on her 3rd trip this afternoon. She has had loads of pronunciation problems that she has had lessons for. Just at the right time she is starting to show great progress, we can rest easy a little for her transition to school

aaahh bless ! i hope your son and all the other little "dis kids" settle in really well at their new schools, sure there will be some happy tears from mums and dads in september! :teacher:
:flower:

My eldest starts big school in September too - I put in our order for her school uniform today, she is so excited.

Glad it went well. I teach 4 year olds, so know how important it is for both Mum/dad and kids to be happy and confident about starting school. :flower:

My eldest has just finished her GCSEs and starts her hairdressing job full time in July. The youngest is moving up to high school in September and we have just had the uniform and PE kit list

It's amazing how quickly their school days fly by :)
