Drying Footy (soccer) kits while staying at Disney

At the resorts that don’t have a shower clothesline, we designate one of the closets as the clothes-drying space, ask mousekeeping for extra hangers if you need them. Leave the closet door open overnight for air flow. Extra soggy items, on hangers, can hook off towel bars in the bathroom over the tub, or put a towel on the closet floor to catch drips.

At certain times of year, we get a larger DVC room than we need, just to have extra space to spread out laundry. We tend to dry a lot of sports gear (hockey and medieval combat) while at Disney, since it’s DH’s only chance to get a practice in since we moved to an area without them. Hey, it means he wants to go to Disney more often, so I’m a fan of that system.

We easily dry full sets of sports equipment that can’t go in the dryer, a few footy jerseys will be easy, OP.

I'm going to need an explanation of what this is ???????? :magnify:

I was there last week and did laundry 2x. I don't dry any of my shirts. I just put them on hangers and hung all over the room. since you are going to be there for 2 weeks, you could have a cheap clothes drying rack delivered and use that and juts leave it behind, too

I have the same type of fabric and I do laundry all the time when at Disney.

When you check in, ask for a fan (If they have one) and extra hangers for your room. You can then hang your clothes on the hangers to dry with the fan blowing on them. Shirts will be dry in less than 2 hours and shorts take a little longer to dry. I usually hang the clothes right is the closet that is provided and turn the fan in that direction.

The washer spins out most of the water so there is no dripping and the clothes dry very quickly. I know somebody on here is going to have a hissy fit at the thought of drying polyester sports fabric in a precious Disney resort room, but in actual experience, there is very little water left in the fabric, so there are no water drips.

If there are no fans to be had at the resort, you can always go to Walmart and buy a small, inexpensive, fan. I currently live in the States, so I go to Disney a couple of times a year. I keep a fan (among other things) in a storage tub from a company called o wner's locker (they store the locked plastic tub in a warehouse and deliver to my Disney resort when I schedule it for one o f my repeat visits.* Note that they do not accept tub deliveries at Universal).

So that's how I do laundry with this identical fabric type. It's easy and there are no worries about any problems. Have a fantastic trip!
