Hi all. First post so please be nice!!!

We come from England. We usually stay offsite and have a balcony.

Would love to stay on Disney (rent dvc) but I’m out off by the fact you can’t dry clothing on the balcony.

So my question is how do you dry clothse that can’t go in the dryer???

We are there for two weeks so I will need to do washing. But my kids only wear footy (American soccer) kits that can’t go in the dryer. So how do you dry them??

Cheers x

Clothes line in the shower 🤯

Both of these are great suggestions I’ve never heard of. Cheers!

I am originally from Brazil, so I understand the passion for "real" football lol.

My kids and I always wear our kits to the park, and we usually hang them on the clothes line in the shower. Dryer can work, but sometimes it can damage the vinyl of the kits.

Aw thanks for this! My husbands second team is Palmeras, my kids love Brazil kits 💙

Thank you. This is what I worry about with the dryers. So easier ruin a v expensive kit! Good to hear they have washing lines over the bath. I’ve googled it and looks like a great solution as they do dry quite fast!

Thank you x

One tip for extra drying is to lay the wet clothes in a single layer on towels, roll them up, then walk across the towel, rotate it and walk across again. Pulls a lot of the extra water out. Works really well for bathing suits too.

Not all of the newer showers have the clotheslines anymore. You might want to look at some small "drying tools" that would fit in your suitcase. Not sure what you have access to but ...

A hanging clip dryer that can be used on shower curtain rod or closet rod.

While I do not know what was used… there was a room at GF cash room not DVC that had a lot of clothes hung daily in front of the sliding doors inside the room. Not the best look but people do dry clothes in the rooms. Ask about specific resorts if they have the line in the shower… I can confirm SSR and GF resort rooms do can’t recall further back but I know most do as we use them. You can’t hang clothes on balcony's because of the ever changing wind and rain so they can either blow away or end up soaked.

I almost didn't reply because of your screen name (I'm a Man City supporter ) but I usually bring a kit or two and they dry off very fast when you hang them up on the clothesline in the shower. The quick dry moisture wicking material used for the expensive "genuine" kits helps a lot. As PP have said though, some of the newer renovated rooms lack the clothesline. If you end up with one of those I would just put it on a hanger and stick it on one of the hooks.

I would definitely avoid the dryers in the resort laundry rooms though. I ruined a classic City away kit at my local laundromat once when my home machine was busted, the vinyl started peeling. Those big industrial strength ones are just too powerful.

Can I ask what a Footy (soccer) kit is? Is it a shirt and pair of shorts?

That seems like a Valid reason. Presumed it was for aesthetics!

Thanks for the reply even if you’re a blue 😂😂. Good tips!! I presumed they’d dry quick but was worried indoor drying would make them smell of damp! X

Yeah it’s basically a football kit you would traditionally wear for footy matches or training. Shorts and shirt. My kids wear them lol the time as they are footy obsessed. X

It's what we'd call a uniform here in the States. :)

I wash clothes all the time at Disney and don’t use the dryer. I usually use the clothesline in the shower or use the hangers and hang them off of open drawers, closet doors, door handles, etc.

When I’m traveling not at Disney and might have more laundry, I sometimes bring a travel clothesline (Sea to Summit makes one) and travel hangers that fold up.
