I had to share this with you since my skin is awful and I have been searching for something to help my poor cracked, itchy, bleeding hands.

I bought something called "Eucerin Calming Creme"...WOW! After just a few applications this stuff is curing my hands.

I just had to share since I know others have skin issues as well and it is hard to find something that is safe and works. You can even use on children!

Worth a try if you are looking for something.

LOL when I saw the title of the thread I immediately thought Eucerin. Plain vaseline works well too. Glad they're better, that gets painful. :paw:

I also use something from Bath and Body Works from their Spa collection, it is actually a foot creme with 25% Shea butter with alvacado and olive oil. It has worked wonders on my hands, I also use the body creme but the foot creme has more shea in it.

Burt's Bees makes something called hand salve. That works well.

My dry skin is mostly a Winter time issue. And I always use Eucerin. Thanks for the info, I'll try that this Winter!

Thanks for the info! My hands get so dry they hurt! It is so bad I do everything to avoid getting water on them. I'm glad you found relief. :dog:

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula has helped my cracked cuticles and fingers in the winters for the past couple of years. I also layer on Curel, or any hand lotion with a glycerin high on the ingredient list, and Burt's Bees hand creme (I prefer the Almond Milk version to the Banana).

I avoid any lotions or soaps with Triclosan (anti-bacterial agent) because I instantly notice the increase in dryness.

...Gold Bond skin creme. I like it because its not greasey and it really helps my skin, especially in the cold winter months. I've tried so many others that just didn't help me. You may want to buy a little trial size first(I bought one at Walmart) to see if it helps you before spending $6.00 for a tube of it.

Thanks for the info. I'm always looking for something to keep at work. My hands get so dry at work and in the wimter. I need something to keep there. I'll have to look for this.

By split skin do you mean split and bleeding? Because in the winter my hands get red around the knuckles (the bones on the back of the hand, is that what they're called?) and they will bleed a little. Boy, that hurts, and once they start bleeding I can't clean or anything, even gloves hurt them. I'm writing this down--does it come in a tube?

Yes...my hands are like that always. Fun, huh?

I had a horrible spot on my ring finger which I was trying to get rid of. I have been buying stuff and using it. Nothing.

I bought the Eucerin Calming Creme and after 2 applications my "splits" (very deep ones) are healing. I don't know why but I'll take it.

I had that happen, and I used Bath & Body Works Glove Potion Number Nine shea butter cream, and it worked wonders!
