I received a shipment from my uncle of Jack Stack Barbeque ribs, bbq beans, pork burnt ends (tips), cheesy corn bake. It was shipped on dry ice on 12/20 and received this morning (12/22). Only problem was that the dry ice was gone when we received it. When I placed the digital meat thermometer against the packaging of meat, it registered at 66 degrees and the packages were cool to the touch. A call to the company and they are shipping out new ribs, etc today and they told me to throw away what I had already rec'd. Question is - do you think it's okay to still eat it? The stuff is precooked and "cryovac sealed while still hot and then flash frozen". During shipping at some point, the dry ice packs broke and melted. Has anyone had this happen to them or has anyone eaten products from Jack Stack BBQ? What do you think I should do? I hate to throw it away.
