kay, so i'm pretty much in love with my school's marching band. i'm no critic, but they're wonderful. i'm the editor of my school's paper and my feature story has been to cover the band. recently i've gotten a lot more immersed in them, and i've realized that, more so than the band, i love the drum line. they're amazing! i'm not coordinated at all, and seeing them play GRITS with the right hands up in the air, and only using the left, that was just intense.

so i <3 drumline.

are you in band? what do you play?
if you're not in band, what would you like to play if you were? cause i seriously would LOVE to be on that drumline, but i can't play percussion. haha.

(:

im homeschooled i couldent be if band if i wanted too be :(

Im a brasser.

I have a natural gift, any type of BRASS *not including flute. FLUTE IS A WOODWIND PEOPLE, stop trying to tell me that flute is considered brass just because it has no reed. Its not brass, go look it up if you don't believe me xD*

Anyway you name it.
Im usually a low brasser, haven't tried trumpet yet, but i bet i could do that also.

I once sat in my guest room with the door shut, with my grandpas old trombone, seeing what i could do, by the end of a 20 minute period, i figured out how to do a scale :D

Yeah, i love brass.

If you play brass, and anyone tells you otherwise that you don't have a natural gift for it, they're wrong.

My mom, after so-and-so many years of knowing my dad, having my brother and i go through band, she STILL cant make a note out of it.

For me, the first time i ever picked up a baritone i was 6. I got the first 3 notes of a b flat concert scale *of course my brother had told me that it was OPEN, 1-3, 1-2

I dunno, band is the only thing im good at :(
When people say "besides band, what is your other talent? i mean you must be good at something" but i honestly am not.

I love band :)

That's the single most thing i look forward to at every football game..*that..and..tacos in a bag YUM*.

Of course i love the intensity of the game, but when it comes down to half time, and seeing the color-guard intertwine with the band..it blows my mind away.

10 minutes later, they're still playing, my friend turns to me and said "My god this is boring" of course im not saying anything, im still watching it.

No matter how much i hate their band director, i do have to give him credit for doing an amazing job *even though we all REALLY know, that it was MY band director that made them that way*

Wow, that was really long.

Like i said, I love band.
xD

Our drumline used to rule. We used to be the coolest thing around. The state news channel even did a piece on our drumline.

Then our 4 anchors graduated and they're teaching all the newbies. Hopefully they'll turn into something because we suck right now.

I play clarinet in the band. There are two of us, and I'm on first. =]

I'm not in band, and I honestly can't think of an instrument I would want to play. However, I wish I could learn how to play the piano/keyboard.

My school's band isn't that great, from what I remember. =/

I play percussion for band, and snare drum for marching band. I just got back from marching in our homecoming parade, actually.

There are some times during marching band when I'd rather be playing a flute or something, but then there are times when we're just wailing on a song and I realize how amazing it is. :goodvibes

:D

I'm in Band

and i'm on the Drumline

ok technically i'm in the Pit

:D

i love my Drumline :D

we just went to a competition and beat last years State champions :D

oh boy did that feel great

and not to mention The Drumline is VERRRYY Attractive xD

I ALWAYS wanted to play the cymbals for band, but I wasn't able to because I was on a few sport teams and sometimes they did things at the same time.
And I already played flute in music, so I would have had to play that if I wanted to do band.

Alto Sax.

There's two of us, and we share first chair. XD I'm good at the faster songs, while she is better at the slower stuff.

I can't read music...
I'm working on my keyboard.
I can play almost all of fur elise, but not the lower part.
Just the right hand...but I use both hands.

If I was in band...I probably wouldn't be able to play anything and I don't know what I'd play.
Our band is awesome though.

I play violin, so, alas, I'm not in band.

...actually, my friend Arthur who plays the violin is in band. They stuck him on an oboe part, easiest A he's ever gotten.

I'm in orchestra.
Wootness.

i do Hbcu drumline way different than normal drumline and i muyst say way better

well okay.
i play many instruments.(:
i usually learn and catch on quickly,so i'm sorta capable to do that (:

i play:

#1.clarinet
#2.bass clarinet<3
#3.tri's<3 and snare drums in the drumline.
#4. && sax.
my two favorites are bass clarinet and tri's.
also they're in order from which i learned them.
our drumline and band is [boss] (:

I'm not in band anymore, but I played the flute.
IDK how our drumline is, but our Marching Band is one of the best on the east coast.

I just got back from playing our homecoming halftime show... it went really well. :) Our theme was Michael Jackson, so during Thriller the drumline played while the rest of the band did the 'Thriller' move... :p We also wore white socks instead of black socks w/ spats, and the band took off one glove for halftime.

We also had one of the band members do the Moonwalk while we were playing, the crowd went insane!
