dropping off luggage at port without DCL tags?

how should I do this? we are picking up our documents at the port so we will not have them in addvance. or should i go in and get them and then go back out to the luggage?

I would ask the porters how you should handle this. Do you at least have your stateroom numbers that you can put on the luggage with your names --- just incase they get carried off before you get back with your tags (after check in)?

When you get to the port they will look it up on a sheet and put tags on it then. At least that is what they did for our friends last month. They took it right where you normally drop off.

We were in this exact situation in January having booked only 2 days before sailing. The porter wrote our room number on the tags and we were off and running! We then went upstairs, got our documents, filled them out and then checked in. The whole process was very smooth, even without docs!
