Dropping off Car at CCC after hours?

I was hoping to return our Alamo rental car at the CCC Sunday around 7:30, but the CCC hours are only open till 6:00. The website says check at the counter for drop off instructions, so I am assuming that this means you can drop the car off after hours. This probably means though, that there will not be a complimentary shuttle to get me to MK, right? Anyone have experience droppping off after hours with Alamo? How did you get to your next destination? Thanks for the replies.

yes you can drop the car off at the ccc after hours we did it last year they have a drop off box but then you need to walk you can walk to the MK or over to the nearest resort contempary

Have you considered dropping the car off at the Swan/Dolphin (not sure which one we dropped a car off at in October) valet desk? We dropped our National rental off with the Valet desk after-hours in October. The Valet CM gave us a receipt for the return with the time noted on it.

you dont get charged extra as long as you bring it back before your time expires with alamo you pay for 24 hour periods so you can leave your keys in the drop box and you will not get charged

This is NOT always true. I just read a rant on Flyertalk where the poster got charged until the next day. So if you picked up at 10 PM on Friday and returned at 10 PM on Saturday, that's 24 hours.... However, Alamo does NOT record the "receipt" of the car until they open at 8 AM on Sunday. They charge you an extra day!

I would make VERY sure you understand the terms. The standard is when the rental car company RECEIVES it, not when you drop it off. My understanding is that they will take the Valet "notice" at the Dolphin so if I was returning after they closed that's where I would go.
