Drop off/pick up for MK

Hello. I will be visiting MK in July and staying offsite. One day it will just be myself and DS going to MK. With that being said my parents will need to keep my van so they have transportation for the day. So I need to know best/easiest location to be dropped off and picked up for MK. We will have a 805 am ADR so will be going early and will be leaving for the day after the parade.

I was thinking they could drop us off and pick us up at the CR and we use monorail to get to from MK. Or would it be easier for them to drop off/pick us up at the TTC? Is there a designated spot to do that??

Just trying to make it easy on my parents since WDW roads can be confusing.

Dropping off at the Contemporary Resort is suggested only if you plan to walk to Magic Kingdom from there, or if you want a longer monorail ride compared with boarding at Transportation & Ticket Center.

The best spot for drop off ar CR is in the road just after making a U turn beynd the guard shack.

The walk is just a little longer than walking from the furthest resort bus platform (visible from CR entrance) to MK. Should take about 10 minutes.

Yes there is a drop off at TTC.

The guards at the Contemporary won't let you in just to drop someone off.

Drive as if you're going to the Polynesian, but before you get there, go in the 'Lost and Found' parking lot (it used to be the pet center). You'll be right at the TTC entrance.

In January my FIL pulled into TTC where the buses go. We told the guard we were dropping off and he was able to pull around to the walkway and let us off. They let him right back in to pick us up later.

Thanks for info. I may ride over the day before and see where exactly we need to go so we will know exactly where to go on out MK day. Don't want to be driving around trying to figure it our on the morning of since have early ADR. Lol

That is not a designated Guest drop-off, and is guarded by a parking cm at busier times.

The official drop-off is in the bus parking lot, just east of that. Enter the toll plaza as far to the right as you can (excluding the bus lane), and go straight thru the traffic light. Turn left at the next traffic light, and immediately get into the right turn lane for the bus parking. Once in the bus parking, go all the way around to the taxi lane. The Guest drop-off spots are behind the taxis. IIRC, they have signs saying 15- or 20-minute parking.

For picking up at the Contemporary or the Polynesian it would have to be at the resort front door.

Your passengers should get there first since you might not be able to roost there.
