Hello. Getting ready to leave Disney. Is it best to leave droids in box and bring as Carry on for plane ride ? Just curious for least headache. Thanks.

We just returned doing the same. We kept it in the box and were able to put it in the overhead compartment. Survived the trip just fine.

The droid is a bit loose in the box. You might consider something to pad it a bit, keep it from banging around.

Yes - keep in the box and put it in the overhead compartment. They are bulky and a bit of a pain to be honest lol

Mail it from your resort, it cost us $17 to mail 2. Much easier than hauling it around the airport and stuffing it on the plane.

I packed my daughter’s in our checked luggage. I collapsed the box, put it in the luggage, and reassembled it when we were home. No problems at all.

I abandoned the box and brought my R2 droid home in my standard travel backpack wrapped in a sweatshirt. I had planned that, so I knew I would have space. They are too loose in the box and the box is too big really.

Good question! I'm building a droid in two weeks and was curious what the best route for getting it home is. Thinking I will pay to ship it back or pack it in a backpack.
