Droid Depot Early Reservation before Park Open

HI,
I saw that on one of the days we'll be at Hollywood studios that there was a reservation for droid depot at 8:30 am before park open for my boys. Does this work like dining reservations where you're allowed to enter the park early with reservation? And if so, where do you enter?

Are you staying at a Disney resort?

Resort guests are being allowed into the park 30 minutes before park opening which would be 8:30. I'm wondering if these reservations are intended for those guests? Not really sure how they will handle early entrance for reservations for guests that are not staying at a Disney resort.

Not really an answer if you're staying off-site but if you're staying at a Disney Resort then you will have no problems as you will be able to enter the park at 8:30.

Yeah, I wondered that too as I know hotel guests get in early. We’re off property at a vacation rental. Strange though that they’d have early times but no disclaimer. If this was pre-Covid I think they’d let you in with reservations but I know rules have changed since the pandemic. Right now I have 2 reservations that day…one early and one later until I get a clear answer.

I honestly don't know what they will do. You may wish to call and ask. I'm guessing you would be allowed it but I would want confirmation from Disney before moving ahead with a reservation like this.
