So the other thread got me thinking about the Droid experience again. In this Disney Parks Blog article WAAAAY back, they shared about the app you can use with your droid.

The article shares this quick 48 second video of programming dances moves for example...

It can also can play tic tac toe with you? I feel like no one talks about the app anymore. Did the app add to the value for those of you who have done the Droid experience? Knowing there is things you can do with the droid at home may put me over the edge in justifying the cost. Does the personality chip you picked factoring in to the app's functionality?

I liked using the app over the remote just because it's one less thing to keep available, oh and batteries track of. Tic tac toe is fun. You can use different difficulty levels, so keeps it challenging. You can also use presets to make the droid move and dance. Personality chip really only changes the sounds, not really exciting. The add on I like best is the r2d2 guns. They'll light up and make a shooting sound.

My kids also found the app easier to use to control the droid than the remotes and enjoyed the presets and programming as well. It definitely revived the use of our droids for a bit there (now they're back to collecting dust).
