My soon to be 3 year old (3 on our trip) really wants a droid like it big brother.
already have a reservation but now im reading strict 1 person only to build?
they seriously expect me to let the 3 year off by himself to collect all the parts and build?
not only will he not be able to physically do it but he will not want to leave my side.
anyone been recently to give me some insight.

Per Disney's Website

  • The experience area is limited to the builder and one Guest—at least one person in the party must be age 14 or older
  • Only the builder will be allowed to build a droid; the Guest of the builder may not build a droid

You should be able to go with your son. My hubby went with our 10 year old.

You will be able to go along with him. I think the wording of the website is just trying to say that only one droid is being built. You can carry the things for him and help him as he needs.

thank you so much for the reply! I saw a few post of strict practices and I panicked!

How accurate are the reservation times? If you show up at reservation time do you go right in? What happens if you get there late?

We went a few years ago and my husband insisted on building one with my then 10 yr old. I’m pretty sure he plays with it more than she does😂. I’m sure when our son builds his next trip he will be the one to help again and build himself another one. I think the highlight of our trip was racing their robots with everyone else. Those little droids are so cute and fun. They’ve held up really well.

I am not sure about being late, I know there is a policy about that but I can’t remember. We personally had a bit of a wait when we checked in last May, maybe 2 families waiting ahead of us?
