Droid App for Traffic That Doesn't Require GPS?

GPS isn't included in my phone plan so I won't use apps that require them. I have a weather app called Raindar, I highly recommend it, and it shows live doppler radar, determining my location by the active cell tower location.

Does anyone know of something similar that has current traffic conditions for your location? I'd be happy with an app if I had to enter my location manually as long as the traffic info is current. We'll be cruising down 695, 495 and 95 in a few weeks and we've had issues on 95 just after the 495 loop and I'd like to route around that or otherwise change our plans if I can get a warning. Thanks for any info offered.

Traffic.com let's you search by zip code or city assuming you have a data plan. Just curious, what type of plan/phone/company does not allow you to turn on the GPS receiver in the phone? Is it a smartphone?

Thanks, I'll check this out now. I have Verizon, I can turn on GPS but it's extra. I'm not inclined to change my plan as I'd lose Unlimited Data, I'm grandfathered into that unless I change plans or phones. I have an app called FoxFi that makes my phone a wifi hotspot and I rack up huge gigs monthly this way, I don't want to lose the unlimited feaure.

Interesting. I'd never heard of such a thing and I've been with Verizon for 10 years.
