Which way do you guys come in? I get a couple different directions when I search it. Last year the directions had us coming in kinda the back way (that is what it looked like). It wasn't difficult other then the first road after you exit being listed different on the sign then my directions so we didn't turn there and having to turn our 31' RV around when the streets kept getting smaller and smaller. After that I decided to bring out the navigation system which I wasn't using because it had steered us wrong once so I didn't completely trust it and of course it got us right where we needed to be. :headache: I should mention that was our first "big" trip in the RV.
I have heard of people coming in the Magic Kingdom way. Is one better then the other?
Thanks guys!

Not sure if it's better or not, but I always come in through the MK gate. Coming in the "back way" would require a very hard right from the road into the FW driveway, which I choose not to do if I can help it.

Yep, I come through the Main Gate also. (Although for going on Wal-Mart runs, etc., I leave, come back the back way once I've dropped the camper).

Well, we take the loooooong way in. We take the turnpike to the 429 toll road and then come in the new western gate and follow the signs to the MK and FW.

However, this year I think we will get off the turnpike onto 535 and take that across to the "back" entrance. We will have to make that hard right with a 30' trailer in tow, but I think it will actually save time. I may even take the turnpike to 429 and take that down to 535. That should even save some time. We are looking to move to Winter Garden next spring if my transfer goes through and we have been looking at neighborhoods when we go down to Disney for the past few trips and it really is close to Winter Garden and the new developments that are going in around 429.

Ditto and we want to see the signs and sights on our first arrival to get us going :cool1: :thumbsup2 :lmao:

The exit for 429 and 535 off the turnpike are the same. Last time I was on 535 it seemed more like "local" traffic than a faster way to FW. I don't know if 429 is really any longer in terms of time, but I think it is easier in terms of traffic and that turn into FW.

429 for me. Then I go past Old Key West DVC and the back way because I pull right into the over flow lot to drop my golf cart trailer. No problem making that "hard right turn" in our 38' motorhome.

You and I are thinking two different exits. There is a 535 exit on the turnpike before you get to 429 that cuts across to 429 and goes under 429 through Winter Garden. If you stay on 535 you go through Windemere. You make a left at the Publix in Summerport and drive along the border of WDW property. If you stay on it you will come between Marriott's Grand Cypress and Sea World. But, there is a turn-off that will take you to Downtown Disney and to Ft. Wilderness. This is the "back" entrance that everyone is talking about. The drive from 429 to Ft. Wilderness is less than 8 miles. I clocked it on our last trip.
