We will be driving into Orlando on Sunday, March 26. We should arrive about 1-2 pm. Should we plan on any traffic because of the Spring Break crowds? We've never been during a busy season and wonder if we should alter our driving plans - thanks!

Orlando traffic is pretty bad during rush hour no matter what time of year it is. Getting in around your time should be one of the better times but there will still be lots of traffic to deal with. You shouldn't get the major slowdowns and stopping though.

any time i have traveled into orlando around that time, it hasnt been horriable. I usually like to arrive later around 9 or 10 pm so there is no crowds @ all, but mid day is probly the next best time. You shouldnt experience that much extra traffic due to spring break.

Depends on where your driving from. We drive from Illinois and usually everything is pretty good, unless we hit construction. There is always a few accidents and lane closures on I-75 South, especially in Georgia. We always arrive later than planned, and when you get down to I-4 it does get pretty congested but, it's more stop and go, than stop.

You can check individual Department of Transportation for each state that you'll drive through to see if there is any construction, lane closures so you can better prepare.

the traffic is more congested between I-192 and the Beeline. unless there's an accident it usually flows fine, but can be heavy. the thing to be aware of is tourists who don't know where they're going. sudden lane changes are a big problem.

We stayed at WDW that same week last year (of course it was also Easter week, so crowds were probably heavier). Anyway, we were crawling on the Florida turnpike for a couple hours during which I don't think we moved more than 15 miles. It took about 4 hours longer than we expected to get from north Georgia to Disney.

FYI..we were there a couple weeks ago...there is a new toll road 429 takes you from the Florida Turnpike to Irlo Bronson (192) In Kissemmee...we took it an no one on it yet...comes out about 2 miles from DW :firefight
