Driving to michigan

On wednesday my parents and i will be driving to michigan from new jersey to visit my sisters boyfriends family my sister is a casual/tempoary cast member at disneys animal kingdom her boyfriend is also the same but works at Epcot at the living with the land boat ride.just wondering if anybody had any tips on what to see and do.also can anyone know of a good hotel around akron ohio.thanks

Well you would say Muskegon. Don't know a wole lot about the area except the neighbor has a vacation home their(LOL). Ok, they do have a park i'm told similar to ceadar point except much smaller. The park is supposed to have an awesome water park. I think the place is called American Adventure. Not to far away is Traverse city, nice boating.great shopping in the downtown area. if you are going around July 4th check out the cherry festival in traverse city. Sorry i haven't been much help. Muskegon....beaches.

Travel a little farther south and you'll hit Grand Haven which is a wonderful little beach community that has a really nice walking pier. And even further south is Saugatauk, an artist community that is fun to walk and shop.

In the Muskegon area, as someone mentioned, Michigan Adventure is an amusement park (owned by the company running Cedar Point), complete with water park. The water park has a new water attraction this year.

Head north and catch a ferry out of Charlevoix to Beaver Island, or visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

The park is actually called Michigan Adventure. Fairly small sized park, but Waterpark is pretty good. You guys might want to drive past akron and stop around the West side of Cleveland. It will make the remaining drive alot easier!
