Driving to HHI

We will be visiting VA near Wash. DC late next month and then staying at DVC/HHI. Any info on problems with roads, etc. we should be aware of? Thanks.

Hi,
We just returned from a 2 week trip to OKW. We drove from MA. to OKW with a stop over at HH (8/10). We took 95 all the way and the 495/95 beltway around DC. We left MA on Saturday afternoon 8/9, and were through Washington DC, VA and into NC by morning Sunday morning. Sunday we drove the rest of the way and got to HH by noon. It was my second driving trip to FL and have yet to run into any major traffic South of NJ coming or going (NJ and CT can be especially tedious).

As far as the road conditions there is alot of construction on 95 in NC, SC, GA and FL. It appears that they are finally getting around to adding a 3rd lane to 95. (I'm hoping it will be ready the next time I go and make the trip even smoother! Well, I can dream anyway...) The construction did not hinder us at all either driving down through those areas on Sun/Mon or on the return trip Thur/Fri.
