We are coming down 95 from Savannah this morning, and I remember there was a better way to do the last leg right around Orlando but I can’t remember the details! It was a way to avoid I4 I think; and it was a toll road. Maybe 417? Does anyone know what I’m faintly remembering from our previous drive over a year ago?

Google Maps should allow you to change the route to get what you want.

I know I can change the route on waze (ay least I assume, I’ve never done it on that app before), but I can’t remember the route that was recommended last time and worked well! I just remember it was to avoid I4 and involved a toll road. I will actually grab a paper map at the Florida welcome center, this is something that I find hard on my phone. Seeing the actual map and road names might trigger my memory.

There are a couple of ways to avoid I-4. Actually, you still hit I-4 for a short time. You could take I-4 to 417 around Orlando. This will avoid the worst part of I-4. Or, You could continue down I-95 until you got to the Cocoa Beach area and then take 528 towards Orlando.

Thanks so much! I think the way we did before might have been taking 417, since that sounds familiar. We’re heading to the Beach club villas today, then we were going to the GF (I don’t know if that matters much or not).

As @OKW Lover said 417 would probably be the best. When you get to Deltona, check whatever map you are using for a faster route. The exit for 417 is in Sanford, but depending on time of day just staying on I-4 may be just as quick or quicker. I-4 traffic varies greatly depending on time of day.
