driving time from BWV to Port Canveral ?

I would be forever grateful if anyone can give me an estimate on the driving time from BWV to Port Canveral on a Sunday morning in January. I have booked one night before our cruise at BWV, so we will leave about 8 am for Port. Thanks

I would give yourself approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.

That is unless there is a shuttle launch scheduled, then I would try to leave at least 2 -3 hours early. You can check out Nasa shuttle launch schedule on the NASA website.

he wouldn't even mind the traffic!
I wonder how the most recent launch delay will affect the lineup...

I just noticed what time you said you were leaving. I wouldn't leave at 8:00AM. They do not open the terminal to passengers until 10:00AM.

Sleep in a little - you will need it so you can go to all the parties.

Did you get transferes with your cruise package. If not, it's about 1 to 1/2 hours driving distance. The boat does not open until 11:00am for passangers.

One suggestion, after you get on the boat make it your first priority to get up to Palo and make your reservations. Take the latest seating you can, so you won't be rushed out. they serve you a fantastic meal. don't miss it.

We just did that drive,to watch the shuttle launch on the 4th at Jetty Park which is right on the inlet where the cruise ships come in.We left from VWL,took about an hour & 20 minutes to get to the park. Unfortunately it started raining on the emergency landing strip 10 minutes before launch and they scrubbed the launch. It went off today at 5:15. DW saw just a glimps while we were on the boat heading back from MK. Next launch isn't until Feb.
