Driving Question

Hi all - I am going to drive down again this Christmas for a week or so vacay. I was wondering which days you think it would be better to drive - which days would be less crowded on the highway?

Driving from Cincinnati, OH to Orlando (staying overnight in Macon, GA)

#1 - Sun Dec 22 - Mon Dec 23 OR

#2 - Mon Dec 23 - Tues Dec 24

I figured Sat AND Sun would be the worst possible combination.

I think I'm going to leave Disney on the 31st (have to catch the NYE practice fireworks!) but that is flexible at this point.

I would assume Sun-Mon is better because there i less traffic. More people would travel on the weekdays, and combine that with the rush hour, people who aren't off for winter break. I may be wrong but if that was me I'd leave Sunday.

Holiday week a push either way, I'd say weather could be more of a factor than traffic.

Actually, I don't think it matters much. If you can time it so that you aren't in a big city during rush hour, I would think you would have pretty clear sailing (unless there's weather issues).
