We will drive over from WDW the morning of Oct 31 for a 3 night Wonder Halloween cruise. How long does it take to get there? Should we try to do the Space Center? Is it worth the time? What about leaving your car at the dock? Any advice would be appreciated!

I believe the ride from the resort to the port is about an hour, maybe a bit more. I do know that it's about 50 minutes from the airport to port.

I don't know if you'd have enough time to tour the Space Center. The port generally opens at 10:30am for check-in. I think the Space Center is worth doing, I just don't think you'll have the time to do it prior to boarding the ship.

You can park at the port for $8/day. I think that you must pay in cash.

Thanks everyone..........Dave, I have used your site many times.....thanks for all the useful info!

Dave or others,
One more thing.......What time do you suggest leaving WDW for Port Canaveral?

Depends on whether you want to make reservations at the spa or Palo. If so, you'll want to be one of the first to board. Leave WDW by 9:00 so you'll be able to check in and be in line early.

If spa and Palo ressies aren't important, I wouldn't bother leaving until around 11:00.
