Driving or WDW transportation?

I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find it. We are staying at ASMo in Sept. and have 2 small kids. We will probably be returning to our room most days for a nap. Will we be better off taking our car or riding the bus? I haven't ever stayed on site so I know nothing about the bus service and, it has been so long that I can't remember how much of a hassle parking is at the parks. I'm almost convinced that for most days it would be best to drive. Any opinions?

Our family of 4 just got back from ASMo 2 days ago. We also have two kids, DS9 and 5. You will love staying onsite! This was our first time also staying at a resort, and we LOVED it! I did not book a rental car, I figured if we needed to we could rent one onsite after we got there. I am glad I saved myself the expense!!! We used the transportation, and it was wonderful! We never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a bus. We also came back to the hotel in the afternoons to rest, and the busses run frequently! From some of the parks, all 3 All Star Resorts share a bus. But, from the Magic Kingdom, the ASMo has their own bus stop. IMHO, I would save the money from the rental car to use somewhere else. Have a good time!!!
