Driving on Route 13 questions

I am planning to drive up to Northeastern PA after a trip to WDW and have heard/read the bridge-tunnel segment in VA is scenic. Is it worth detouring from I95 for? Based on google map estimation, it would add an additional hour of travel time to the trip. Is it because the speed limit is lower? Would there be any concern for traffic? TIA.
