I didn't realize there was a race that weekend. We check out of vero beach on Sunday 8th (day after race) and planned on heading right up 95 (we live near Philly). Just how bad will it be? Since the race is at night, does that mean people stay past Sunday? I don't want to fly this time, but I don't want to spend an extra 5-6 hours on 95--it takes us 18 hours with no traffic!!

Please tell me like it is. I'm a driver at heart, so driving with all of the rigs on the road doesn't bother me, as long as it's moving.

We have been to that race and the traffic has never been an issue on Sunday. One thing to remember, this is a night race that has a lot of drinking, combined with people having a good time and the heavy traffic getting out of the track, many people don't get to their hotel until 2:00A or later, so if you leave VB early you should be well ahead of most...
