Driving instead of Flying

We were due to fly out of Laguardia on Tues the 18th. We have decided that air travel would probably not be back to normal by then and with all the bomb scares and evacuations at the airports we decided not to put our sons 2.5 and 4.5 through that ordeal. It would have been their first time flying.

I had worked in Tower One up until January when I was "downsized". I spent all week worrying about my friends who still worked there. When I saw the Building I used to work in crumble I could not believe that people could have survived. I have found out that 9 people from my old company are still missing. I feel so bad for their family members. My friend who made it out convinced me to try to go to WDW. She feels that we should all enjoy our children and families today and not put it off because you never know what tomorrow may bring. Before she finished her breakfast on Tuesday a plane had hit her office and she was climbing down 28 flights of stairs. Thank God she made it.

I hope that we are making the right decision to still go to WDW.

God Bless all the victims of Tuesdays tragedy. I feel for their families.

Go to it.

Go do it.

Go to Disney World and enjoy yourself and treat your kids to an enjoyable magical experience.

Car or plane, its your choice.

No sense wasting your life (and your kids') sitting at home remembering those who were less fortunate and lost their lives in the World Trade Center.

If everybody stayed home and commiserated, our country would go into a depression with all the airlines (or motels, gas stations, restaurants, toll roads if you go by car) and Disney World not getting any business.

PS: Despite the high cost of a Disney day even with a park hopper pass, don't push and rush your 2-1/2 year old to see and do too much each day. Young kids, although they will run around you and tire you out midday, will themselves be tired and cranky early in the evening. In other words don't make Disney World an ordeal for the kids.
