We are driving in on the morning that we will be visiting Magic Kingdom. We would like to be there for park opening (not an extra magic hour day). Is traffic bad getting into WDW early morning? Trying to figure out how early we need to be. Thanks.

When are you going? The amount of traffic heading into the MK lot at or near opening will depend on whether it's a busy or slow time at the World.

June is a relatively busy time, though not quite as bad as Christmas week. I'd add extra time just in case there's a backup.

Also, keep in mind that if it is a weekday, there may be extra traffic for people trying to get to work. This may or may not be an added concern depending on which direction you are headed. If the park opens at 9 am that day and you want to be at the gates at that time, I would plan to be at TTC by 8 am. That way, you might not be towards the back of the pack once you get across the lake.

Don't forget to plan for the 15 trip from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the MK by monorail or ferry, after you have waited for a tram. People seem to forget that aspect of parking at Magic Kingdom.
