Thanks

nope:goodvibes :lmao: Mind you you can watch your dog run away for three days in Saskatchewan!!

I love Northern Saskatchewan!! South is not bad either. They have the Badlands.
At least it is now all double lane.:thumbsup2

 They did have to put the Transcanada in the most boring part of the province.

Hey watch it there! :) Driving from Medicine Hat to Calgary isn't the most exciting drive in the world either. A friend of DW's once counted the curves in the highway between Regina and Calgary and I think there were something like 57. If you look off to the south as you are going by the road to Cypress Hill Provinicial Park you'll be looking at the highest point in Canada between the Rockies and Labrador!

It is really amazing if you get off the highway and go north or south how the terrain changes. Lots of badlands, valleys, and yes, even trees. I love northern Saskatchewan as well. But the southern part of the province is unique in its own right.

If you stop in Regina you might be interested in going to the RCMP Heritage Centre.

I grew up south of MooseJaw and spent many a long hours traveling between home and Calgary. And even once in a while would go from Medicine Hat to Lethbridge. I could never (and still can't) see why people think Sask. is so much flatter than AB. You hardly notice that you have crossed the boarder they look so much alike.

I love camping at Cypress Hills on the Sask. side. A little piece of heaven on the prairies!

So to OP, if you like to camp then check out Cyress Hills Intraprovincial Park. It is really beautiful on the Sask side IMO.

True true but at least you can watch the deer and the antelope play:happytv: Regina is like this little hidden treasure no one really knows about. Saskatchewan is really a unique province anyone who has has to drive highway 1 through it will appreciate my humour.

Just a reminder about the moose!! A few years ago my great aunt and great uncle got hit by a moose. Their BRAND new car was totaled!!

I would personally head to the states and travel back that way... maybe hit a six flags and definitely the mall of america (lived in Minneapolis for a year, loved that mall) & Valley Fair (just outside Minneapolis by Eden Prairie) along the way.

However, I also grew up in SK and now live in Calgary, and have made the drive to Winnipeg... all totally boring to me. I can do the drive between S'toon and Calgary in my sleep now. ;)

Alberta is flat up to Calgary... once you go past, the foothills start and then the gorgeous mountains (born in BC). :)

Riding Mountain National Park is about an hour north of Brandon, Manitoba. It's very beautiful and has a dinner cruise on Clear Lake available during the summer time.
