Has anyone driven from Texas to Disney with a toddler? Mapquest and Yahoo driving says its a 23 hour drive. My husband and I are not long distance drivers. So to those who regularly drive long distances, how do you manage the drive with children? We would not do the drive in one long haul. We would probably stop in Shreveport, which is roughly the half way point.
Besides a portable DVD player for the kid, what other ideas would you suggest for a squirmy toddler who dislikes the carseat?
I am just looking for ideas on how to make the drive more manageable so that all of us are not very grumpy when we arrive.
Also, how crazy scary is the traffic in Florida and on I 4? Is it as crazy as I have heard?
I keep thinking the drive would be relaxing, but my husband is the kind to NEVER EVER ask for directions because he never gets lost
so we may be better off spending the estimated 1500.00 on airfare from DFW so that we can come back still married.
Any thoughts or suggestions??
