Driving from San Diego

This summer, we will be driving to WDW from San Diego (stopping to pick up family in NJ). Has anyone ever done the cross country ride? Would love to know the route you took and any sites that are "must sees" along the way. Thank you!

I live in PA, and have driven x-country a couple of times.
In fact, I'm doing it again this summer to visit Colorado!

Are you taking I-70? How are you coming into NJ?
There are lots of things to see along the way...

Tell me what your route plan is and I'll tell you
if I can recall some good stops

But my first advice is if you're not yet a member of AAA,
it is worth every penny to join before you start your trip!
Get every TourBook for the states you'll be going thru,
as well as having them prepare a TripTik for your
planned route. It's all free, along with maps of every state!
Even if you are totally spontaneous and don't like planning ahead, it will help knowing where to find the "good stuff."

Plus, the membership will pay for itself in discounts
along the way (as well as having all of their club benefits, etc.)
And no, I don't work for them
