Driving from Rockland County,NY

This is our first time driving (yikes). We are leaving 2 pm on Wednesday -plan to arrive at Pop Century 6pm next day...We will make a quick overnight along the way..any suggestions?

Hi! Where in Rockland County are you? My parents grew up there and I still have family there. We moved upstate when I was 5. I will actually be down next weekend for my Aunt's wedding.

We live in northern Bergen County(NJ) and drove 2 years ago! You are leaving at 2:00PM...so my guess is that you would want to stop around 12 midnight? This will put you in the area of Florence, South Carolina!

WOW, Palisades, NY. I lived there for 10 years. No one I know even knows where Palisades is. Peaple usually say "is that in Jersey?" NO!

Its a small world after all.

Yes, it is Punkin! My aunt just sold her house on Oak Tree Road - my uncle passed on and it was too much for her. Great area!

I know Oak Tree Road in Palisades very well.

Good luck with your drive! I will be in Nyack on Friday. My 2 brothers were actually born in the hospital in Nyack and my aunt was an ER nurse (she lived in Warwick) there as well. I still have family in Haverstraw and that area. Have fun!

OMG what a small world. My grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins live in Nyack. My mother was born and grew up in Nyack, went to Nyack high, Nyack middle and Liberty Street elementary. Also worked in Nyack Hospital, actually I have an aunt and cousin who work in Nyack Hosptial today. I too spent a year in Nyack and went to Liberty Elementary school. Our family is well known in Nyack and we will be going "home" this weekend to celebrate my grandparents 85th birthday.
