Driving from Ontario.

We are driving down from Ontario in October ( Just the other side of Detroit , in Windsor). Any tips on a good hotel to stay in once we get into Georgia? We are hope to stop there on our 1st day down to Disney. Are there coupon books at the rest stops? Thanks.

Hi,
We have driven to Florida from western NY (through Erie, Pa. then down Rt79) a few times now. Not sure of the route you will be taking (RT75?)... Georgia would be too far for us that first day...

Each state have their own coupon booklets at the tourist info centers as you enter them. We make it as far as Wytheville, Virginia usually the first night and have stayed at the Sleep Inn and the LaQuinta. Also have made it to Charlotte, North Carolina the first night. That is 13 hours of driving for us that first day. Charlotte has a lot of traffic, so we try to make it to stay on the south side of town and that way miss most of the traffic the next morning.

If your taking Interstate 75 I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites in Valdosta, Georgia which is off exit 16 and it's 10 minutes away from the Florida State line. My family and I just stayed there back on August 2nd and as always it was amazing.

Hi, We have been looking over the maps and have a target of Macon , Georgia. How far out is Valdosta? I figure Macon is about 13hrs without any stops using mapquest. What kind of time do you make going to Valdosta? I will have my parents, and my ds-5yrs and dd-9yrs in the car. Have you ever stopped in Macon Georgia? If so do you know of any good hotels to stay in? We are taking I-75 down as well. Thanks for your reply. Debbie
