We like to borrow(or sometimes buy) an audio book for our 24 hour trip to WDW. We usually get a comedian autobiography or live routine. We did listen to Into The Wild last year, but it was a little heavy to listen to for such a long period of time if you know what I mean.

Any ideas? I was thinking about Craig Fergusons new book(on audio). Thoughts?

If you want to get into the Disney mood, try downloading Lou Mongello's 3 Guide to the Magic audio guides.

I don't have a recommendation but I just wanted to let you know that if you stop at Crackle Barrel, they rent audio books. So this is how it works, you borrow an audio book and then when you are finished you drop it off at the next Crackle Barrel you see. My apologies if you already knew this.

Ah, yes! I forgot about that! Thanks for the reminder CdnDisneyLover. that is something we should look into. Is there a way to find out what they have ahead of time?

I'm sorry that I don't have any recommendations, but I do have a non-recommendation. That is The DaVinci Code. The female role is read by a man who just sounds...well...not so female. It's really bad. :lmao:

We listen to audio book quite often.

Our favourties were His Dark Materials books (Golden Compass, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass) and the Harry Potter books (read by Jim Dale - he's excellent).

Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson -- I discovered the series by borrowing the audiobook from my local library. It was so wonderful, I went home and bought all the books.

There is also the Kingdom Keepers series, also by Ridley Pearson. Warning: after reading (or listening) to this book, you will never experience "It's A Small World" the same way again.

I second Kingdom keepers or Peter and the Starcatchers - these books were great! you never will see It's a small world or Big thunder mountain the same again!!
