We'll be driving for the very first time to Disney this time. Flown before and have decided that we want to try driving instead.

We'll be driving from Ohio and stopping in Valdosta, GA. for the night. Any suggestions on fun restaurants for kids along the way?

we're driving from toledo oh. i have always drove to florida via I-75. Honestly, in Kentucky and Tenessee the most fun you'll find close to the freeway is McDonald's with a play place!

We are right around toledo too and I have to agree. Although my children love cracker barrel (because of the store)

We took are 2 year old in april of 08 and drove down from columbus ohio. We stopped about every 2-3 hours at rest stops and open areas to let our son burn some energy. His favorite place to stop and eat was Chick fil a they had a nice clean indoor playground. The restrooms were alson clean.

We love Cracker Barrel, too -- lots to look at while stretching our legs, good food, O.K. prices (we all order from the kid's menu to save money).

We drive from the Toledo area, too!

You can get a map and list of Cracker Barrels at any one of their restaurants, so you can plan your stops.

(OT: Bucknuts -- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Mickey OSU player -- I have the actual pin on the visor in my car!)

Joes Crabshacks also have playplaces and a fun atmosphere - keep an eye out for those....

And, of course, Chuck E Cheese....lol

We live in Kentucky and always drive. We usually make a point to stop at a fast food place with a playground. With our four kids it works great. They wear themselves out and fall fast asleep.

I don't know the ages of your kids or what time of the year you are going, but when we drive down we pack a picnic lunch and stop at a rest area with picnic tables and bring a ball (think kickball, soccer, football) so we can all get rid of some energy. Hope this helps.

More specifically Toledo Families.

We live in Genoa. I have recently met a couple ladies from Swanton. Where are you from in the area.

Restauarants.... We are flying on this trip. But any restaurant can be entertaining with Silly Putty or small Play Doh and a placemat. We also bring army men and make up names for each and then write names on the placemat or paper. Or practice counting writing by 5's or 10's. My twins are in kindergarten, do whatever is age apprpriate. Older kids are great helping. The stuff our parents did with us..games, songs, etc... seem to work the best.

There is both a Joe's Crab Shack and a Chuck e Cheese in Kennesaw Ga right off of I75. The exit number is 269. Heading South turn right off the exit---go straight for Chucke E.. To get to Joe's turn right at the first light.

In the opposite direction at the same exit and more off the path is a Monkey Joe's. Turn left off the exit and go down Barrett Parkway past the mall, under I575 and past the Burger King on the left. At the light across from the Quick trip gas station turn LET and follow it around a little way (there is a Blockbuster and Atlanta Bread Co an your left) and Monkey Joe's will be on the right. (Will take less than 5 minutes to drive there off the exit)

There is also a USPlay--which is bowling and an arcade. Turn right off the exit, turn left at the very first light--you need to cross all lanes of traffic in a very short time. USPlay is at the top of the hill.

There is also a COSTCO here to fill up with gas.
