We will be coming from the Detroit area down to Disney World. Anybody have any idea what is the best way to get there? We're thinking maybe I-75 all the way down, but we wonder if there is a better way.

Yes, I-75 all the way is the best and fastest route. If you hit Atlanta during a rush hour then consider the I-285 beltway west around the city, otherwise stay on I-75 straight through. And of course in Florida you get off I-75 onto Florida's Turnpike for the final approach into Orlando.

:thumbsup2 I agree with KINGBOBOFTHENORTH. It's not particularly scenic, but it is the fastest, most direct route.
And believe me, it will seem like it takes 10 years to drive through Georgia, it's the never-ending state :hourglass .

I 75 no doubt about it-just steer clear of Cincinnati at rush hour, Atlanta, too. Take the Macon Bypass. Figure 12 hours of drive time from the Man O War exit in Lexington, KY. That's the closest Meijer to the world.

Have fun and drive safely!!

We've driven many, many times from Toledo, OH. Just hop on 75 and go south! :thumbsup2
Don't try to bypass Cincinnati, go straight through on 75. It gets a little hairy during rush hour.
I don't recommend the Atlanta bypass even during rush hour. 75 has many lanes of traffic and the bypass gets clogged with trucks.
Take the I-475 bypass around Macon.
When you get to Florida you stay on 75 until you get to the FL turnpike. Take that and from there you have a couple of options. You can take that to I-4, 27, or the new exit. We have always gotten off on 27, to 192, to WDW. But, the new exit/route wasn't ready the last time we drove. I think the new route is supposed to be the easiest way.
Good luck!

My family & I just came back from WDW & another great drive down Interstate 75. The drive was perefct, no problems going threw Cincinnati & Atlanta. In fact driving threw the state of Georgia is the best part. I think it's because they have so many exits & since they are so close to each other, it makes the drive go by a lot faster.

Gee, that's the nicest I've ever seen anybody describe their drive through Georgia! Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River and it's just so darn long! But it is a very scenic route north of Atlanta and through Tennessee and Kentucky.

Hi from exit 13 off I75. I agree with 75 all the way. Dave Hunters "Along I -75" is a must have!
