Driving from Key West to WDW?

Can we do that in one day? DH and I are thinking of doing 3 nights in Key West and then a road trip up the coast and spending 6 or 7 nights in WDW. We would leave Key West on a Saturday, just don't know if I should make our WDW reservations for Saturday or Sunday.

I have not been to Key West in years but if I recall it would be about a 4(maybe 5)hour drive jsut to Miami then another 4-5 hours from there. So yes it can be done but it is what some would consider a long drive(I now drive 10-11 hours to Disney several times a year).

We drove from Key West to Universal once, and I think we counted on about an 8 hour drive. It's certainly doable; just remember that if there's an accident or bad traffic leaving the keys, you have nowhere to go!!

Key West to Orlando ~ 7-8 hours. Definitely a 1-day drive
