Hey this is the first time using this site! Hopefully I am doing it correctly. My family of 5 is driving to Disney for our check in on Nov 6th. We drove last year and went straight through the night (couldn't wait to get there) we stayed first night at nick hotel because my son was obsessed with ninja turtles and wanted to have dinner with them, Then had a rental for the week following. We left NJ around 7pm on a Thurs night and arrive in Orlando at like 11am they did not have our room available til later which is understandable I just wanted to take a shower after driving all night and leaving in warm clothes since it was cold here and was sweating as soon as we got out of car! This year we are leaving on a wed night and checking in at Port Orleans Riverside I believe we will arrive around 10am I plan to do the online check in so I am hoping to be able to get straight into room does anyone know the usual time they will let you into a room if you arrive early? Deciding if we should plan to stop through the night and get a couple hours of sleep and be able to shower there or just drive arrive early and hope to be able to get in our room at a decent time?:wave2:

Chances are (since 11:00am is check out time) that you will not get in your room until some time in the afternoon. Online check in doesn't really help getting a room any sooner. It all depends how quickly the rooms get cleaned.
But then, you never know. :confused3

We do online check in quite a bit and usually overestimate our arrival time (e.g., I put 9 if we think we'll be there at 10). Our room is usually ready, but it depends. We've always been able to get into our room by about 2, and usually never any longer than 2 hours after checking in.

You could always shower at the pool house, too.
