I am just north of Cincinnati in Ohio. If we are leaving before 9 am, we try to get to Valdosta. The Hampton Inn here was quite nice.
If we leave by noon, we try to get to Perry, GA. We tend to stay at the Ramada Inn for the Green Derby Restaurant. I normally will only stop here if I am with at least one other person. I did stop one time by myself. When I checked in, guest services put me as near to the front desk as they could when they found I was by myself. The rooms are nice, but the resort also has a conference center that can make the hotel really busy. The outside area just makes it seem scary.
On the way home, the stop changes based on when we need to get home or if we even need to stop. Normally, it is an early day heading home and not stopping.
