Hi ya'll. Driving down from Atlanta this Friday to WDW. Directions are pretty well set for the most part but I have a couple of questions concerning the FL portion. OK, we're going I 285 to I 75 South toward Macon. 475 around Macon all the way to FLoridas Turnpike. Turn off Fl Turnpike to I-4 and take I-4 to West Osceola Parkway and then follow signs to PO Riverside.

My question is this...Is there a shorter way to get to WDW from either the turpike or I-4. Don't mind paying the tolls, but we do want to go under the WDW signs, and take to least confusing route. My Dad was trying to tell me some other way down Hwy 27 (?) and he wasn't very clear. And even if we take an alternate rout, will it make much of a difference time wise? Tried Mapquest and Yahoo maps but they each gave me slightly different directions.

Thanks for the help.

You no longer have to take US 27 or get on I-4. There is a new road, built by Disney, called Western Way. You take I-75 to the Turnpike, then exit S.R. 429 (north of US 192). The road goes for about ten minutes, and then it puts you on Western Way.
Western Way then continues for several miles, connecting with W.Buena Vista Road near BB and AK. The new road just opened in April, and it is probably still a broken line on most maps.

Western Way enters WDW eastbound, curves around AK and heads south. We caught this new Road just past the Coronado Springs Resort. It was wonderful -- no traffic. It took us 3-hours to get to the FL/GA border.
They hope this new road will divert cars off I-4.
