Hi

Was wondering how many people drive from the euro shuttle? Down to Disney?

Any thoughts appreciated :goodvibes

We drove in Dec 2008 and are off again in a few weeks. Once you're out of the terminal, it's a fairly straight forward drive.

I nearly always drive to DLP...usually from Dunkerque though as I tend to get the ferry but it's very similar route to that from Calais.
Two biggest tips are to have a grown up (and awake) person in the passenger seat for the toll road (which I think is €21) and if you are using a Sat Nav make sure you have 'avoid toll roads' set to OFF otherwise the journey will take about 8 hours lol
It's a nice easy run and takes about three hours from Calais to the gates of DLP. Love driving under the runways at Charles De Gaulle Airport as its awesome...and means you are about 30 minutes from DLP :)

When we take the kids we drive, and it is the most straight forward trip. We go on the ferry and from the terminal it's straight onto the Autoroute, then its a case of playing the "who spots the Disney sign first" game! Lol

Only drawback I found is changing roads, where the person in the passenger seat has to ensure the road is clear, as for some reason, they don't accommodate for right hand drive cars on the continent! Lol

My dad drove the 7 of u last year and he is driving the 5 (may be 7) of us this year it seemed really straight forward I only remember being on one very long road after the ferry.

I loved driving especially as we had DD who was 6 months and required everything to be taken with us. I also find road trips very exciting I think I must be crazy lol!

Only not driven once, I liked Eurostar but it is so easy driving (unless you are my wife who just can't get used to the fact that you have to drive on the right).

We are currently in the Loire Valley and will be driving up to DLP next friday for the weekend. The french roads and motorways are excellent - amazing that they don't have any potholes or similar defects but our roads are terrible.

HS on-
I'd hope the roads are in a good condition - we pay enough for them :sad2:
- HS off
