Driving down to Mickey's for Christmas!

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry for the rotten luck you've had. Here's to nothing but positives for you from here forward! I'm with Ann - if your DH decides it's okay with him to move, then I would say go for it! :thumbsup2 Easier said than done, I realize.

On a positive note - so glad you are back on here! And sounds like you are still very excited for your trip! SO I'm glad you can hang out with us again to pass the time!

Here's to better days! :goodvibes

OMG! She is so darn cute!!!! I want to snuggle her myself, so I can't blame you for letting her sleep with you. Pit bull? Crazy...but we would not be able to have her here as she would be illegal to own. :sad2: Stupid isn't it? Look at how precious she is!!!!!

I truly am having a moment here... she make me want a puppy. What is wrong with me??? I have too many cats and the last time we had a dog we (and I would have to say the dog) suffered 5 years. We loved that dog but he was an aussie and super super neurotic. When Zoe came around and we learned would be leaving him alone (with all her medical stays) we knew it was time for him to go since we quite literally could not leave him alone for 5 minutes or he would destroy anything he could in a blind panic. :sad2:

Ok..moment over...now I remember why we don't have a dog. Just don't show me any more pictures of your sweet little Emily. ;)

I guess because of the fighting people make them do:confused3? I'm not sure... I told DH that if she wasn't a puppy I wouldn't adopt her with pit bull! I am worried about how I will feel in a few years but she really proved her keeps here this morning! Dh left for wok (me and Emily saw him off in his truck) and we decided to take a few minutes to lay back down in bed with Damien. Well I didn't hear DH truck I just heard my front door open and boots walking toward my kitchen then I put my arm around Damien and she crawled on top of him. Well my DH peeked his head around the corner and I just about had a heart attack and she barked/growled/snarled just about anything to scare him and it did! He then right away tried to come at her to let her know it's him and she bit him! So I am saying she's a keeper:laughing:! But I would bet that you would have needed to devote a lot of time to Zoe and it's good you recognized it, most people can't!

Emily is so sweet! Don't you just love puppies?! The Pit Bull part makes me nervous...of course it is because people around here literally breed for fighting (that makes me sad/mad) and I swear they breed for ugliness too! So glad she looks more like a lab...although that would make her a chewer for the next 2-3 years....:scared1:

Yes I wanted to take all of them home! I felt so bad leaving them there! The pit bull does make me scared with how hyper Damien is, I don't want her to see that as aggretion and fight him, but she's been pretty good and keeping herself out of trouble for the most part! I didn't know that labs were big biters:confused3? That's great because she doesn't like to bite or chew any of her own toys!

I am so sorry I am on my way to read your PTR I feel asleep last night and just couldn't! I am going now though! I hope that we have some positives! Thank you! Yeah we just bought the house and we would loose too much he says plus we just turned into a village that no one wanted so people don't want to move here because of that extra tax! I am hoping that with the alarm and puppy and cameras DH is putting in these last couple of weeks will help make me feel better until we move!
Thank you! Me too! I am so excited to get back to this! Now I am on a new camera hunt since they took mine and I want to take pictures again! I need to dig up all of my notes into one place and decide once and for all what I am going to do with everything and how I want to make magic happen while going down and being there and coming back home!
Thank you:goodvibes

I am going to catch up on 2 more that I have to tonight and hopefully be all caught up by tomorrow! I am going to put my to-do list here quick just to make sure that I know I should have things done! When I log on tomorrow I WILL have these things done (if the computer doesn't call my name while I should be doing these:rolleyes:)!

1- have the corn-dogs for Damien made and freeze them for his lunches
2- make the rest of the mummy dogs
3- Get to the store and prep the weeks dinners
4- laundry!!!!
5- train Emily the "wait" command (this may take a few days as I have been trying and trying and I feel so bad doing it)
6-Get up early to make/use the rest of the apples so we can apple pick on Saturday again:banana:!

I love that Emily already acted as protector!

And... yay for the list. I am a list maker myself, so I can totally appreciate yours! :goodvibes

Labs tend to be big chewers...never had a problem with them biting people or even being aggressive....they just love to CHEW on anything and everything! One of ours chewed through the wooden plank fence gate and the other loved eating the siding off the house! They were good dogs, we just had to make sure that they always had rawhides and bones when they were puppies...and lots of rope bones until they were about 2 1/2 years old. I love the lab breed!

What are you making mummy dogs for? I am making some this weekend for a movie night? I am assuming mummy dogs mean dough wrapped around a hot dog and baked?:confused3

Keep the laundry on the couch after folding and you can join Ann, Amy, and my club! :rotfl:

:lmao: I love lists too- you should see how many I have made for Disney! It's just that when I start to cross things off it looks messy and I make new ones:sad2: A little weird I know! I just never got to half of this stuff in a week because people keep coming over or we end up having something to do!

Good thing to now, thank you! I just bought her a pig ear today, but the vet told us not to give her any rawhide yet:confused3
During the months of October, December, Feb, March, and June I decorate Damien's lunches to coincide with that holiday (so this month is all spooky food!). And when I pre-make the stuff and freeze it that makes my life a little easier in the morning rush that is getting ready:laughing:!
My laundry baskets are on the couch because everyday I am about to put the stuff away-it's folded, just not put away! And that was before I read this:rotfl2:!

I am quickly popping in before our 3 mile boy scout hike begins because I have to rant a little!

My son's best friend from class last year is now in his class again this year and in his boy scouts, plus his mom is my son's soccer coach so they are on that together too! My son is not the best soccer player- he does dottle on the field a little and would like to be able to talk to people while playing (they keep putting him in the place that they can't go past the 1/2 way mark of the field and the ball doesn't come over there too much). So for the last 2-3 weeks he has been in the game less and less and today he only played for maybe 20 minutes out of the whole 1 hour game (minus 5 minute 1/2 time). I am a little annoyed, but the mom has become a good friend of mine and our kids get along rather well! Her son is great for Damien too because Damien is hyper as anything and her son is so calm that they compliment each other! I want to say something to her, but I don't want to have any confrontations with her because I have seen her drop other friends because her kids don't want to play with their kids anymore or they had a disagreement with her... I am really unsure of how to handle this because well Damien would be devastated if he couldn't be with his best friend anymore! So any suggestions? And thank you for letting me ask:cutie:

On a better note.... I FINALLY got my printer to accept the new computer and Damien's invitations printed (he's going to have the McQueen movie party after all)! I have to get my butt to go get a new camera! And I have new pictures of Emily that my friend took-- I will have to post them later! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!

Yikes that is hard situation to be in. :scared1:I probably would not say anything, because in the end the friendship between the 2 boys is more important to me in the long run then the soccer. It sounds like Damien is there for the social aspect of soccer and as long as he is not upset about playing time then I would stay out of it. It hurts to see our kids sit on the sidelines, I know...I have 2 opposite boys Boo who is laid back when it comes to competition and Goo who is the most competitive little guy there is! I look at sports at this age as a learning experience...I have long come to the conclusion that my children will never play pro anything, let along high school varisty sports unless they continue to go to the small private school...so I am only investing in the sports as long as that is what they want to do and are enjoying it (and to get some exercise, but if they decide to start the season my rule is that they will finish the season). When the enjoyment is gone, there is no point.

What a great mom you are with the themed lunches...how special Damien feels every day when he opens his lunch box!

Welcome to the couch laundry club...at least yours is in a basket folded ready to be put away...mine is just in piles folded to be put away.:rotfl2:

Ditto what Tammie and Ann already said... it would probably become awkward if you did say anything. And it is annoying to be in youth sports and feel like your child is getting less of an experience than some of the others. I say stick it out but take the high road so long as your son is happy.

Yeah I didn't say anything I'm a chicken when it comes to that stuff! It is bothering Damien that in the lunch room the friend is acting different, but he doesn't want me to say anything!
Oh my those lunches he loves those! He gets upset when it's just a sandwich after the holiday!
:rotfl:I can't stand the wrinkles and I hate ironing so I had to fold them! But shouldn't someone else put them away since I put in all of that effort already?

I agree with Tammie.... I would probably not say anything.
Thank you! Yeah I didn't I think that they will figure it out...

Thank you! I really appreciate it! I didn't say anything on the hike we talked about PTO things instead! I am sorry that I have been a bad DISer reader! I am really trying to catch up... I think that my "real" life I bit off more than I could chew and now I'm sick so tomorrow I took a me day and am going to get caught back up with everything and stay that way! For the most part I have Damien's party settled, it's really just a few friends and we are going to do the Cars 2 movie theater party (the lowest part of the pool is 4 feet 4 inches and I didn't think of that when I said yes so the people I booked with understand and let us pull out with our deposit)! We are going to serve concession stand foods and I found a cotton candy machine that we are going to use! My friend has a popcorn machine that we are going to use! And for an activity they are going to decorate their wallets that I am giving them for the play money they have to buy the food with! Also a DISer gave me a pattern to make the license for each child! I am excited because it's a simple party with about 12 kids and they are pretty good friends of ours!

What a fun party idea!!! :thumbsup2 I love how you have developed it! Want to do Nate's?? His is Dec. 3rd. And he's already talking about his birthday being so close. :goodvibes Funny how quickly they learn that!!

Damien has his own calender in his room so he reminds me whenever we flip the page! Damien's is December 8th, but we are leaving on the 9th and before that we have Thanksgiving and boy scout parade plus his school is having it's annual Holiday pancake breakfast and since I am in the PTO now they expect you there so there is just no other time! Plus the movie is releasing that week so hopefully not too many kids will have seen it! I get most of the ideas for Damien's birthday party here. I have to have Damien's here because he does have "issues" and when we go some where for birthday parties I have to explain to him that he has to stay with the party group and he doesn't like that.... So at home I can control him and his issues a little better! But thank you and if you really need help let me know I love that stuff!

Today I sat with a friend and got some really great tips on touring Disney and a mock up of how to get around the park and such! It was nice, I did cancel the dining plan that had 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 snack a day/person and kept the free dining (2QS, 2snacks and a mug). There have been a few people telling me that the times I had for my ADR's were mostly night and if we take a break in the day then we may not get back on time or Damien may be having one of his "episodes" so I thought about it and on a whim cancelled it. It doesn't save much money to cancel it that I thought it would, but it does make more sense the way that my son is! I may resent this when I'm there, but for now I am going to stand by the decision! But I will be back on tomorrow to show you guys a mock up of a plan and get your thoughts!

By the way, not sure if you guys have heard but this sounds pretty cool! I may have to try that before we leave and when we come home for Damien and I wanted to share with all of you and your kids! Going to catch up with your reports and get to bed.... I'm still sick and very tired!

I know some people find the dp to be to restrictive. Especially when you have the regular one with table service meals. Had you considered just doing quick service? Then you could add in ADRs if you really needed and pay oop.

Now...how did you make the (hmm:scratchin: not sure what it is called?) hyperlink in your text???

Second, what a cool site! Not only for the idea to send a letter to get a pic, but for the couponing. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure what you mean by the hyperlink, but if you click on the word "this" it should have came up... but I am guessing it did since you thought it was a cool website?!?! I just heard about it today from my friend because she told me that they had the Cars 2 coupon there (for Damien's party I have to buy it) and looking around it is a nice site!

Yes we are going to stick with the QS plan and I am going to keep 2 reservations (ohana and crystal palace) and just keep those as a OOP expense! I'm not really sure I would remember to cancel reservations if I needed to!
NEVERMIND I went back and read your comment I made the hyperlink by copying the web address that I wanted to add to my text. Then I typed the word I wanted associated with that address, then I highlighted the word I typed and clicked on that world at the top of the text box with the infinity sign in front of it and pasted the web address there and clicked okay. It sounds hard, but it's easy!

AND.... btw....

:hug::hug::hug:

I hope you feel better soon!!!!

Thank you! I hope so too! I have been "banned" (jokingly) from the school by his teacher and the PTO head until I feel better... which is good because I can do what I have to and really make a good family movie night tomorrow night for us!

Thanks for letting me know how to do that. I can make changes now to my sig. and on my first page of my TR! :woohoo:

I bet you will like the qs plan. And keeping those ADRs are good choices!!! Have you looked at all the cool places to eat with qs? WGPE is one of my favorites as is starring rolls! Lots to choose from and no time restrictions!:thumbsup2

Anytime! I learned from someone too!

I have starring rolls on there because of you telling me how good they are earlier in the PTR! I am excited to try them! Also, I feel a little bit better listening to my friend because your a Disney vet and are saying it will be alright!
