We are coming from Frankfort Kentucky. We will be taking I-75 most of the way. My question is..... Is there another way to get through GA that doesn't have lots of construction and won't take us too far out of the way. Also, We will be stopping over in Valdosta GA. I Used Mapquest to help with driving directions. After leaving Valdosta going this route....

1: Start out going South on GA-133 S/N ST AUGUSTINE RD. 0.34 miles

2: Merge onto I-75 S via the ramp- on the left. 53.51 miles

3: Merge onto I-10 E via exit number 435 toward JACKSONVILLE. 60.87 miles

4: Merge onto I-295 S via exit number 356 toward ORANGE PARK/ST AUGUSTINE. 20.28 miles

5: Merge onto I-95 S toward ST AUGUSTINE. 77.07 miles

6: Merge onto I-4 W via exit number 260B toward ORLANDO. 63.88 miles

7: Take the SR-535 N exit- exit number 68- toward LAKE BUENA VISTA/WINTER GARDEN. 0.24 miles

8: Merge onto FL-535 N. 0.47 miles

9: Turn LEFT onto CR-535 N/WINTER GARDEN VINELAND RD/FL-535 N. 1.85 miles

10: Turn LEFT onto E BUENA VISTA DR. 0.64 miles

TOTAL ESTIMATED TIME:
4 hours, 36 minutes TOTAL DISTANCE:
279.15 miles

This seems out of the way to me. Has anyone else travelling this direction used this path? If so, is it quicker or farther?

Last question...If we do take I-75 all the way, what is the best exit to get off of to get to WDW? We will be staying at the All Star Movies. It looks like we would have to take a toll road over to Orlando from I-75, is this correct? If so, how much is the toll?

Sorry for so many questions. We will be with 3 kids and we want to make the trip as smooth as possible (if that IS possible).

Thank you for any help that you can offer.

The route you show is about 1 hour longer than what our Rand-McNally suggests--which is the way we always go. Here is our route:

From Valdosta take I-75S to the Florida's turnpike--about 160 miles

Then take I-4 toward the West to the WDW entrance

OR what we prefer--

Take the Florida's Turnpike to Highway 27 then go south to US-192 and East a few miles to WDW Main Gate. This route is a nice divided 4 lane road that will let you see Florida.

Either of these two routes work well and should be shorter than what you show.

Going through Georiga on I-75 is the only way to go. Have you ever seen the Along I-75 book--it may be helpful to you. I think there's a website for it, too.

Hope this helps!

I can tell you this. If you hit the Atlanta area in the day time look for signs on the north side (the Marrietta area) of it for I285 take I285 east/South to I 675 . That will take you around Atlanta and most of the traffic. I 675 (ends) runs into I75 on the far south side of the city You will be about an hr from Macon where you join I75.

You both have been very helpful. I appreciate it very much.

Sorry I tried to reedit my post several time and the server is too busy to let it go through or something so I am trying it this way.

It is in the Marrietta area you need to look for I 285 on the north side and you take the East south exit to go to I 675

Sorry again for any problems I was still half asleep when I posted before.
